Aussie PT

Sports Physical Therapy & Endurance Training

Aussie PT specializes in providing physical therapy and strength training for endurance athletes. Using skilled specific hands on techniques, including mobilization and manipulation, we can diagnose and treat soft tissue and joints thus improving your range of motion, reducing inflammation and encouraging tissue repair. This will in turn decrease your pain and improve function. These specialty techniques are used commonly to treat sports related injuries like lower back pain, neck pain, shoulder impingement, plantar fasciitis, anterior knee pain and hip pain.

Soft Tissue Mobilization

Soft tissue can be the leading cause of pain in many areas of the body. Manual Therapy treatment focuses on breaking up adhesions, releasing trigger points, and reducing swelling in muscles, ligaments and tendons.

Joint Mobilization

Often your joints can become locked or restricted in motion in a particular direction producing pain and stiffness. Restoring this range of motion via passive motion to your joints will enhance normal neuromuscular control in that area off the body, allowing for improved pain free movement.

Dry Needling

Dry needling is a treatment where a very fine needle is inserted into a muscle targeting its trigger point. It is a very effective technique to release knots and eliminate tension, speeding up the healing time of dysfunctional tissue.

Cupping

Negative pressure and suction is applied to the body via “cups” This technique loosens muscles and fascia and improves blood flow which stimulates healing of the tissue.

Thoughts from my clients…

  • After 35 years in the sport of triathlon and having an opportunity to experience a wide array of health practitioners, unequivocally, Christine Bell, is simply the best. She has the most complete set of skills in analyzing the issue(s), recognizing the causes and symptoms and with her exceptional hands on treatment, her manipulative PT is unprecedented in my treatment history. In combination with her hands on therapy, certainly her greatest asset is the systematic approach with her dry needling practice. I was terrified of the thought about dry needling but her wizardry and skill soared above my expectations. She is on the very top of my list and I certainly would recommend her to anyone with a niggling or chronic injury.

  • I started seeing Christine a few months ago after a few people couldn’t stop raving about how great she was! I wasn’t let down. Christine has a great understanding of the body as a whole and looks at the bigger picture rather than specific areas of injury. She also tries to find the root cause of the problem, which I believe is fundamental to being healthy and successful as an athlete.”

  • I started seeing Christine for a hamstring and glute issue that’s been plaguing me for years. Christine has the perfect blend of training and intuitive sense to treat athletes. After only a couple of sessions of dry needling and manual therapy, I’m back running as fast as ever. Thank you, Christine!!!!

  • Christine is an excellent physical therapist. She knows how to take a global look at the body to determine what is going on and how to take the best course of action. She is a wizard with dry needling. She has helped me through a few injuries.

  • After my calves completely cramped during a training run and my left shoulder began to ache after extensive swim practice I began seeing a Physical Therapist, a Dry Needling Practitioner and a Massage Therapist concurrently requiring three separate appointments at three different locations at exorbitant cost. Working with the versatile Christine Bell of Aussie PT, I now receive all 3 treatments in a single 60 minute session saving me considerable time and money. The results have been incredible and I enjoy far greater flexibility and mobility and my calves and left shoulder are doing great.
